We knew there had to be a better way.
We have drilled expensive wells with far less subsurface intelligence than the capital at risk deserved. Sometimes the technical foundation was little more than regional understanding, offset performance and the best evidence available at the time. Sometimes the wells worked. Sometimes they didn’t.
But when you’re drilling a mile-long lateral through geology that isn’t a uniform blanket sand, “this should work” isn’t a satisfying answer.

Mr. Garner founded PINN AI after more than two decades in senior oil and gas management, where technical, operating, acquisition and capital-allocation decisions repeatedly exposed the same problem: valuable subsurface evidence existed, but too often remained fragmented across disciplines, systems and workflows.
As Chief Development Engineer & Platform Architect, Mr. Garner defines the product architecture and development direction for PINN AI and its Automated Subsurface Intelligence™ platform.
His background combines 22 years of senior oil and gas management with engineering, finance and data science. He holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Texas Tech University, an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Rice University, and an M.S. in Data Science from Southern Methodist University.
